Brubaker Answers Charges of Theft With Proposition

C. F. Brubaker, arrested over the week end on a charge of stealing an automobile, appeared in justice court Monday and represented that he had stolen nothing. that he had entered into an agreement to purchase a car and had merely experienced a difficulty in making the payments and in keeping the car within this state.

The case was ordered dismissed Complaint had been made against Brubaker by a credit company agent charging that he had removed the car from this state which act constitutes theft, under the statutes, if the car is not entirely paid for.

Brubaker returned to this city with the car before he was arrested and said yesterday that he would surrender the car or pay for it.
