Full Text
WE have received a letter from a person signing himself a citizen of the infernal world. He complains bitterly of an act of the last session of assembly, by which a very large sum of money has been remitted to Benjamin Winton. We cannot find leisure to make those enquiries which our correspondent requires; and he can hardly suppose that we are to interfere with the decisions of the assembly in such an abrupt manner as he seems disposed to do. We have been too much indebted to their liberal patronage ever to speak or write of them in terms inconsistent with the highest respect. We are sorry that it is not in our power to comply with Mr. Citizen's wishes; but we shall be happy to hear from him upon some more advisable subject.
