Boy Scouts kept busy last week distributing bulletins for the OPA and collecting scraps and waste paper. Many Scout Troops have earned their money for summer camp by collecting waste paper. Troop 21 of Brown Avenue Missionary Church has collected more scrap than any other troop.
J P Sherwood, the Cubbing Commissioner, met with a group of citizens in Decatur and made plans for organizing a Cub Pack for Troops 92 and 178.
Mr. Andrew Lewis is conducting a training course in Cubbing for a Pack at Troop 211.
Rev. Pettagrue of West Hunter Baptist church will carry his entire Troop, 194, to camp for the summer.
At present Troop 99 of the University Homes has the largest number of Scouts registered for summer camping.
The camping staff has been completed and many citizens have planned to take their vacations at Camp Orr.
Mr Jackson, Scoutmaster of Troop 33, Bush Mountain will teach handicraft the first week of camp.
A number of Troops outside of the Atlanta District have asked to do their summer camping at Camp Orr this summer.
Troop 79 of Bethel AME church functioning again with Mr. A. J Taylor as Scoutmaster They also have plans for a Cub Pack.
All Scoutmasters are urged to get their Registration Blanks and Inventory Sheets in to Mr. R. S. Robinson immediately.
