Chicago, September 30.—The Cleveland correspondent of the Associated Press has taken the responsibility of commending the service of the Western Union Telegraph Company on the occasion of the funeral obsequies of the President. While this praise is due, so far as the services at night are concerned, it is also due to the truth to say that the service of the Western Associated Press for afternoon papers was the worst ever known, and an explanation has been demanded of the telegraph company.
