C. E. Thompson Becomes Secretary-Treasurer; Local Votes Against Re-affiliation of International With the A. F. of L.
Roscoe E. Glenn was elected president of Miami Typographical Local Union No. 430 at the annual election of the Typos Wednesday.
Other officers were elected as follows:
Vice President - Charles Kelly.
Secretary-Treasurer C. E. Thompson.
Recording Secretary Chester Miller.
Executive Committee Hugh Culbreath, Alton Kidd, Elmer Grigg, Williams Rollins, Alfred Banta.
Sergeant-at-Arms James Offutt.
Finance Committee Curtis Livingston, Charles Houston, Virgil Jachens.
Delegates to State Typos' Conference W. R. Bynum, Roscoe Glenn, Russell Rayburn, William Rollins, J. J. Forbess.
Delegates to Florida Federation of Labor Convention - Roscoe Glenn, Ev. Stone, W. R. Bynum, Alton Kidd.
One hundred and ninety-six votes were cast.
On the referendum as to whether the International Typographical Union should re-affiliate with the American Federation of Labor, the vote was 64 for to 111 against.
