Sunday Fire Burns Buckingham Church

Farmville Volunteer Firemen were called to Concord Baptist Church, Sunday morning, to help extinguish a fire caused by a defective flue. The church is located west of Sheppards in Buckingham county.

Buckingham County Volunteer Firemen were at the scene when the Farmville truck arrived. Damage to the building was held down because of the quick work of the two fire companies.

According to reports, the interior of the church was damaged by fire, smoke and water.
