BEEN IN 31 BATTLES.
Jefferson Barracks, Mo., July 31.
--One of the most impressive ceremonies marking the close of the Citizens Military Training Camp where boys from Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas have received training for the last month, will be the return of the historic, battlewon colors of the Sixth Infantry which have been guarded day and night since opening of camp by selected students of the C. M. T. C. The return will be made during the regimental parade August 6, but the boys will not leave for their homes until the next day.
The valor of the Sixth is attested by 31 battle streamers attached to the regimental colors by authority of the war department. Each of these was won with blood on fields of glory, reciting the story of over a hundred years of honorable service.
