Full Text
The signal discomfiture of the Jacobins at Lancaster, has already excited hostile movements in the party. We deeply regret to observe the inflammatory acts and publications of these men, who have in their train a body of misguided and unthinking wretches, ripe for the execution of any scheme, however diabolical. In the Aurora of this morning, there appears an address to the people of this city and county, threatening to the tranquility of the community, and alarming to the personal security of those patriotic public servants, whose integrity and firmness have been the means of disappointing a jacobinical administration. The resort of these men is no doubt as desperate as it will prove impracticable. Let them go on in acts of violence and intimidation.--The triumph of law will thereby be more complete.--Principles and conduct which are rooted in virtue will always successfully resist the assaults of a pusillanimous hostility.
