Unparalleled Enormity. We don't see, for our part, what is to become of poor Mr. Bell, of Tennessee. The Globe has brought a charge against him, which we take it must be expiated by suicide, or immediate flight from the country. It is quite impossible for Mr. Bell to remain any longer in the United States, after this "awful disclosure."

It would be a most reckless disregard of public sentiment to think of it. The Globe tells us—and for a wonder, we do conscientiously believe that the Globe is in this instance correct, however much the phenomenon may call upon the credulity of the public to believe any thing it says to be true—that Mr. Bell has actually intermarried with a family "of Gen. Jackson's old and bitter personal enemies, at Nashville;" and as if Mr. Bell had determined to leave no possible mitigation of his wickedness behind him, it is a solemn fact that his lady-love is related to Mr. Clay's family! This is certainly enough. He has "filled the measure" of his country's indignation, and he is as much past resuscitation as a boiled lobster.

What business has he hereafter to hold up his head, we should like to know? Any body that belongs to the republican party "under my administration" to do such a deed! The real friends of Gen. Jackson ought to ask leave at headquarters, before they venture even to buy a cashmere for family use. General Jackson being "responsible" for the acts of all the departments, we hope he told Amos how much money he might spend during his tour to the East.
