Conviction of the Adams' Express Robbers.

Abner Marks, who robbed the safe of the Adams Express Company at Grafton, West Virginia, in October last, of a package containing fifteen thousand dollars, was yesterday sentenced in the Taylor county Court at Pruntytown to seven years imprisonment in the Wheeling penitentiary. Arthur Resley and Charles Meredith were also sentenced to four years imprisonment each as accessories to the robbery. The money stolen had previously been recovered by Allen Pinkerton, of the national police agency of Chicago, Ill., who detected and arrested the parties. The Adams Express Company in bringing these men to justice have evinced much perseverance, and they are determined that none committing thefts of their property, however small, shall escape their just punishment.
