BERLIN, March 25. While agreed to an offensive and defensive alliance with the Hungarians, Premier Lenine is said to have declared his objection to a Bolsheviki crusade at this time, preferring to use propaganda and money with the help of the foreign proletariats to win over the bourgeois.
All classes in Hungary are represented to be joining the Communists, who are raising a huge army in the hope of combining with the Russians in a war against the Entente. They plan to make their initial stand against the Czecho-Slovaks and Rumanians.
Increasing restlessness is becoming evident throughout Germany. East Prussians are armed and preparing for civil war, if Danzig is awarded to Poland.
Several strong demonstrations in Berlin, Breslau and Danzig in opposition to annexation of Danzig and the Saar Valley and in favor of Wilson's fourteen points have been held.
These demonstrations were led by Mathias Erzberger and other prominent officials. Sailors at Bremen are reported to have refused to allow merchant ships to leave that port to be turned over to the Allies.
