Wax Figures.— We have, generally, an aversion to exhibitions of Wax, except in anatomical preparations. When well executed, however, they come nigher to life than sculpture or painting. In this respect the group to be exhibited at the Hall adjoining the Savings Bank, is very superior. The Siamese twins, done by a lady in New-Haven, are perfect resemblances to the original. The Salem murderers, are well vouched for, and they are well calculated to convey all the delightful horror any one can wish to realize! There is, in fact, a great deal of ingenuity in the grouping of the figures, and even something of a moral may be drawn from the scene. Crowninshield is a finer representation of a murderer, than we ever saw on any stage. The thing must be looked at philosophically, however, and not as a mere show. As such only, it is more revolting than attractive.
