Letters from Brest advise that the People belonging to the Marine are exercised regularly twice a Week in that Road. There are nine Vessels provided for this Purpose, each with eight Galley Slaves and two Sailors on Board to work her. There is a commanding Officer for the Van Guard, another for the Center, and another for the Rear Guard of this little Fleet. This Exercise is to be continued during the Summer Season to initiate young People in Maritime Affairs.
