Now that we are meeting with the heads of all the small world-wide countries in our new and peculiar "One World" UN venture we will be confronted with the habits, customs and laws of strange people from other lands.
One quite novel practice in which some husbands may show an acute interest was mentioned by a Paris correspondent. It seems that Leon M'Ba, president of the newly independent country of Gabon in Africa, has served four years in prison for eating his mother-in-law. However, in another case Biaka Boda, a member of the French Senate representing an African country, tried to break the beastly habit but fell victim to his constituents who "ate him up" because he refused to supply a baby from his family for their annual ritual feast.
We should keep foremost in mind that the increasing number of small African countries joining the UN will have a voting edge on the U.S.A. and if the Connally Reservation is repealed, our jurisdiction in legal cases is lost to the "World Court". In such an event we should all strive for good conduct or else we may find ourselves in the World Courtroom facing a group of Hottentots and maybe finally end up in the "family pot" in far off Congo.
