Full Text

NEARLY AN ACCIDENT. - The other evening after a train of coal cars were left on the track near the repair shop at the terminus of the S. C. & T. Co.'s road, a number of mischievous boys came along and put off the brakes. It was fortunate that a man happened to be standing near at the time, and succeeded in overtaking the cars and shutting down on the brakes before they reached the incline. Had it not been for this fortunate circumstance the whole train would, in all probability, have been dashed to pieces. These little gamins are becoming quite an annoyance, as they seem to take a special delight in mischief of all kinds.
