Full Text
Mr. Frank Taylor, one of the oldest shoe men in Milwaukee has joined the forces of Edward Schuster & Co. Mr. Taylor will have charge of the shoe department at the Schuster Twelfth street store where he will be pleased to greet his host of friends in the future.
About 27 years ago Mr. Taylor came to Milwaukee a graduate from the great mercantile house of Lord and Taylor, corner Twentieth street and Broadway, New York, where he secured his early training in the shoe business.
Mr. Taylor came to Milwaukee to open the first shoe department in any local department store, for James Morgan & Co. At that time there was only one other shoe department in existence in any other department store in the northwest, and this was in Chicago. Therefore, it may be truly said that Mr. Taylor was a pioneer in the field. He has, however, advanced rapidly with the times and is known to-day as one of Milwaukee's most progressive shoe men. Edward Schuster & Co. are to be congratulated upon the acquisition of this valuable addition to their forces.
