SAN FRANCISCO. June 29. (U.P) -Another investigation of California boxing and wrestling was in prospect today with the appointment of a state assembly committee for this purpose by Edgar C. Levey, speaker of the house.
Assemblymen Harry F. Morrison of San Francisco. Clifford Wixson of Oakland and Dan W. Emmett of Santa Paula were named on the committee. to conduct the inquiry authorized by the last legislature and were given $1000 for expenses.
Morrison, once a prizefighter promoter, sponsored the California law under which fights and wrestling matches are now conducted. Wixson also is identified with the sport.
The committee will report to the 1933 legislature.
