OUTSIDERS AND ELECTION
Editor The Citizen:
Once again Key West experiments with interference of outsiders in our political affairs. It's funny—but here we have people dissatisfied with our city and moving to Miami where they make their home and run down Key West.
They are satisfied in Miami—they mingle in Miami political affairs, then, just as soon as our elections come around, you see them flock to our city to use their influence against some of our candidates that do not favor any other county than Monroe county.
It's high time that Key Westers pay less, or no, attention to political henchmen sent here by Miami political dictators.
We do not mingle or interfere in the political affairs of any other city—therefore we cannot countenance interference of outsiders that have reneged on their chance to vote in our elections.
Key Westers should pay no attention to these gentlemen. Let them stay in Miami. Let them do as they please in the Magic City of Miami. But—leave us alone to run our affairs as we see fit.
Sincerely,
J. F. FLEITAS.
