Society of Friends in Ohio.—At the late Yearly Meeting in this State, it was reported that all the members of the Society were furnished with copies of the Bible, and that the daily perusal of the Scriptures extensively prevailed. Advance has been made in establishing a system of primary schools, under the care of the Monthly Meetings, which are also directing their attention to the establishment of well-selected libraries. A house for a Boarding-School is to be immediately erected. A settlement of Indians, who have been under the care of the Society, being about to emigrate beyond the Mississippi, addressed an interesting farewell to their benefactors, acknowledging their kindness, and praying that they would continue to hold them by the hand and not let them go."—S.
