Witches, Spooks Cavort With Kindred Spirits on Hallowe'en Night

YOUTH TAKES POSSESSION OF THE CITY ONE NIGHT IN YEAR

Hundreds of witches, spooks, hobgoblins and other spirits ran hither and thither and yon on Hallowe'en when the spirit of youth took possession of the city in a wholesome style.

There was no actual damage done. Ticktacks on windows and shrill screams in the streets kept the residents of the city in a state of uproar but youth had its day again and October 31 passed with no serious casualties.

Three days after Halloween a missing gate was found in a tree on 11th street and numerous other paraphernalia which were quietly removed that night as mysteriously reappeared.

As is natural many parties marked this night of all nights for the kiddies.

The serious minded folks who have forgotten their own Hallowe'en may again settle down to an uninterrupted year of adequate police protection for the outbreak of youth is over.
