PENDER REPORTS
CASE OF TYPHOID

The first typhoid fever case of 1945 has been reported in the Onslow and Pender county area, according to Dr. H. W. Stevens, health officer.

A three-year-old white child, of the Haw Run, Maple Hill section has been reported ill with the disease by her attending physician, Dr. George Gurganus, of Jacksonville.

Dr. Stevens announced that typhoid clinics will be held all summer at the following places:

Jacksonville health center, every Monday and Saturday morning; Richlands health center, every Thursday at 1 p. m.; Burgaw health center, every Saturday morning; Atkinson health center, every Tuesday at 2 p. m.; Midway Park health center, every morning; and the Pine Grove Trailer Health Center, every morning.

Other special clinics will be announced later.
