Event Details
All our Letters from Holland agree, that every Thing is in Confusion there without the least Hope of Remedy. The Prince Stadtholder has according to his accustom'd Goodness, labour'd, with all imaginable Vigour, to bring People to their Duty; but in vain, Things are gone too far. The best Counsels of the Serene Prince are no longer regarded in the same Manner as they us'd to be some Time ago. The Cabal which opposes his Serene Highness has the upper Hand, and have so thoroughly persuaded the Publick that the present Regency have misconducted Affairs.
