YOU'RE A LIAR

He is What Donald Fletcher Called E. Shorrock at Chamber Meeting

"You're a liar." This exclamation was made by Donald Fletcher to E. Shorrock this morning during the meeting of the chamber of commerce.

The trouble occurred during an argument with Mr. Fletcher by Mr. Shorrock for the former's sensational utterances in a speech while representing the Seattle chamber of commerce in the Trans-Mississippi Congress at St. Paul several weeks ago.

This was the first meeting that Donald Fletcher has attended since the Trans-Mississippi congress, and that he met with rather a cold reception was evidenced by the fact that two resolutions introduced by him were received in painful silence and each went over without receiving a second.

Mr. Fletcher was not at all abashed by this and when he got the floor he was quite caustic in his remarks about how he had been treated by the chamber.

Trouble Begins. Mr. Shorrock began the trouble. On securing the floor Mr. Shorrock read from clippings of Mr. Fletcher's speech, this address was of the most sensational character, and referred to Canada and strongest and Governor Brady most of to Canadians in the Alaska was also bitter language. "You say that what I said was un- true?' exclaimed Mr. Fletcher, rising angrily from his seat. "I do," replied Mr. Shorrock. "Then, sir" answered the belligerent Mr. Fletcher, "You're a liar."
