Full Text
Mr. Davis one of the wise democrats in the Legislature of the United States, has predicted, that ere three months elapse, the "sun of federalism will set forever." What kind of light is to be then diffused, or whether we are to be left in midnight gloom, this political astronomer has not informed us:--We, however naturally suppose, one of two things must be the effect--we shall either be in total darkness, or what light we do receive will be emitted by the feeble rays of the Moon of Democracy.
