Wednesday last John Sennet, for bestiality, and Bet Smith, for the second time of thieving, were set upon the gallows, and received the discipline of whipping; They were severely pelted by the populace.

Among the crowd a fellow was discovered with a number of handkerchiefs, offering them to sale under the gallows, which were suspected to be stolen; he was taken up and proves to be one John Bryan, but calls himself John Baker: he had received the compliments of the post the Friday before, for making too free with another's property, and was discharged from goal on Tuesday. He pretended when taken, to be fainting, whereupon he was put upon a board and bro't along the streets, on men's shoulders, and committed again.
