RANGE ABANDONED
Tucson, Oct. 17.—The round-up on La Osa range, which has been in progress for more than a week, will be abandoned yesterday, according to J. C. Kinney, president of the outfit on his arrival in Tucson.
The round up will now begin on the range of Manuel King, north of La Osa range, Mr. Kinney said.
The losses of outside cattle, which were not fed last winter seem to be heavier than was believed to be the case, Mr. Kinney said. The cattle found on La Osa range were in excellent shape, and a large percentage of calves were branded. The losses of La Osa were probably smaller than that of many of the stockmen, for the reason that this outfit shipped out between 5,000 and 6,000 cattle during the drouth.
In this way the losses were decreased.
