FOR 'E' BONDS
Greensboro, Dec. 10—Although sale of Victory Loan market issues of 2½ per cent and 2¼ per cent Treasury Bonds closed December 8, all series E, F and G Savings Bonds and Series C Saving Notes sold through December 31 will be credited to the Victory Loan drive, Clarence T. Leinbach, state drive chairman, announced.
E Bond sales are lagging, he said, asking continued efforts to press the sale of the bonds through December 31 to assure success of county and state E Bond quotas.
Mr. Leinbach said the bonds make fine Christmas gifts.
"North Carolina must not fail in this last great Victory Loan E Bond drive," he stressed. "It is the most important of all."
Sales of E Bonds in North Carolina as of December 7 total $17,500,000 or 58 per cent of the E quota. With only 18 more selling days, there is yet 42 per cent of the total to sell.
