Full Text

Spiritualism.- The believers in spiritualism are greatly pleased with the success with which Mrs. Hatch has met in this city. Though all who heard her are not convinced that she has the "power of attorney" for the spirits of the dead, yet all are free to admit she is a most able speaker-one who furthers her cause whether or not for the want of a proper word of exegesis. This cannot be said of some better speakers that we have ever heard. Clay, Webster, Douglas, or even Everett, were not content to call from language what they thought on every occasion. The faculty displayed by Mrs. Hatch is truly surprising. She has returned to Chicago.
