From the Lancaster Intelligencer.

The two east arches of the bridge over Stony creek, east of Stoystown, in this state, gave way and fell into the water on the 5th instant. This is a very considerable loss to that company, supposed about $10,000 dollars. What is most strange, a young man of the vicinity of Stoystown was on the bridge, went down with it, and escaped unhurt.

We understand the company have taken proposals for the re-building of the bridge. A good road is made round the pile of ruins, by which wagoners and travellers can pass unobstructed.
