BETHEL TO HEAR DEAN SMITH

Dr. H. M. Smith dean of Chicago Baptist Institute, Chicago will be the guest speaker on the Young Peoples Day program at Bethel A.M.E. church Frederick and St. Antoine. Sunday. The speaker, who will take "What Way For Christian Youth" is slated to address the congregation at 11 a.m.

Dr. Smith who received education at Colgate University and the Institute of Theology, is one of the religious leaders on the plus side. He is a member of that illustrious national honor society Phi Beta Kappa. He has served as pastor of churches in New York and Hot Springs, Ark., building a new community center which opened in New York. His church in Hot Springs is widely known as one of the few churches in the country with a Negro congregation. The program Sunday is under the auspices of the Young People cabinet composed of persons and women leaders of all the youth organizations. Representing the group is Harold T. Smith, president.
