That an outside speculative interest is still trying desperately to get control of the irrigation properties here, particularly the power plant, is indicated by the literature that has been floating around the past week or more designated to influence votes against the irrigation district bonds. This propaganda has been circulated both by letter and word of mouth.
One of the most glaring of the many misleading statements made is that the irrigation district board proposes to dispose of the power plant to the power company as soon as the district acquires the property after the bond election.
To think that the present board would attempt anything of this kind is, of course, preposterous. But even (Continued on page 5)

if they or any other succeeding board had any such intention the law would not permit them to carry it out. Any attorney worthy of the name and who is at all familiar with the irrigation district law, will give this advice. Under the law the irrigation district board has no more right to sell or dispose of any of the district's property used in furnishing water than a school board would have to sell any of the buildings or property
