The malignant fever within the last days, has almost entirely disappeared. Many of the citizens have returned to their dwellings; and others are preparing to follow them. In the course of the present week, we shall all, no doubt, be reinstated.

It is a fact, notwithstanding the temporary alarm that has prevailed, particularly with respect to the infected limits, that business has experienced but a trifling depression. Country merchants have now strong inducements to visit our city. The stock of goods on hand are immense, and well assorted.
