ATTRACTIVE NORTH DAKOTA BUILDING NOW COMPLETE AT JAMESTOWN EXPOSITION SITE
The First Structure in the Name of Any State is Finished By C. A. Everhart and All Ready Now for the Opening of the Great Event on the 26th of Next April.

The North Dakota building at the Jamestown exposition has been completed, and the keys turned over to C. A. Everhart of that state, who has been sponsor for the erection of the building, and who will preside over it during the exposition.

The site of the North Dakota building is one of the most desirable on the grounds, being in the midst of those selected by Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania, and commands a beautiful view of the Hampton Roads, on which will be held the splendid naval review.

The lot is 50x165 feet and the attractive building is pleasantly located with a view of being of easy access to all parts of the grounds as well as having a clear outlook upon the great body of water beyond. There is no finer site on the exposition grounds.

The building is completely furnished and is the first one in the name of any state to be turned over to the prospective occupants. It has a delightful reception room, 20x40 feet, with all modern conveniences, and rooms upstairs for the retirement and rest of the visitors from North Dakota. It is ample and commodious, and well designed for its purposes.

Mr. Everhart, who is from North Dakota, has purchased the lot and paid every dollar necessary for the building and its furnishings.

The Legislature of North Dakota meets early in January, and it is hoped that Mr. Everhart will be named as the commissioner and that it will see fit to make a small appropriation for an exhibit and entertainment of the Dakotans who come to the exposition.

The erection of the building has been one of patriotic impulse on the part of Mr. Everhart. He was spending the winter here, and as the legislature of his state did not meet in time, he declared that North Dakota should be represented, and went ahead with the building just completed.

Senator Hansbrough aided the exposition in congress, and expressed the hope of attending it next spring, and there will doubtless be thousands of North Dakota people here during the exposition.

"The building," says Mr. Everhart, "is ample for an exhibit and the reception of my fellow state's people, and while I hope and believe that the legislature will appreciate the spirit in which I have acted, I am determined that North Dakota shall be represented, and it will be if I have to stay in the building alone and welcome such as come, and exhibit anything that the people send me."

North Dakota will no doubt rise to the occasion, and respond in proper spirit. The state has the resources for a great exhibit and should make it.
