A state-wide conference of public school principals and supervisors will be held here Friday and Saturday. The programs will get underway at 9 a.m. Friday at E.A. Ware School.
The theme of the morning program will be: "Program for Education of Exceptional Children in Georgia." The panel will consist of: Dr. Mamie J. Jones, consultant for education of exceptional children in Georgia who coordinates the program. Also Mrs. Helen Carr, director of the Crippled Children's division of the State Department of Public Health; A.L. Davis, superintendent of Cave Spring School for the Deaf; F.G. Nelms, superintendent of Georgia Academy for the Blind and Dr. Sue Craig of Paine College, Augusta.
The Saturday morning meeting will be held at Turner High School. The discussion will be: "The School Building Program. Its Status and Implications."
Dr. Allen C. Smith, Director of the state school building program and field services for the state board of education will speak.
