About four o'Clock this Afternoon came up a Thunder Shower, the Lightening was very Smart. Struck a Flock of Sheep, that consisted of between 3 and 4 Thousand: The Shepherd was about 4 Rods Distance from the Flock, and almost Senseless; he got into a neighbouring House; And when he recovered he said, the first Thing he observed was, the whole Flock was struck down; and there were 24 Sheep kill'd all in a Heap, by a Rock that was shattered; the dead Sheep was greatly swell'd in less than Half an Hour.
