The Democratic Convention for North Carolina meets in Raleigh next Thursday week, the 8th of March. We think there will be a large delegation present. A democratic candidate for Governor is to be nominated, two Electors for the State at large, and four delegates to represent the State at large in the Charleston Convention.

It is bad policy for democrats to rely on the supposed weakness of the opposition for success. The opposition party is better organized now than for a number of years past, therefore the greater necessity for the democratic party to organize and act unitedly and understandingly.
