Company Time

CLEVELAND (LPA -- Having
told his story to businessmen at a
luncheon here before the "Smallest
Business of America, Inc." Senator
Robert A. Taft celebrated his
60th birthday as "Be Kind to Workers
and Farmers" day. He toured
workshops in Lake and Geauga counties,
visited two factories, had
lunch in an old cheese factory
in the community center of
Parma, and then came the
highlights.
His first stop of the day was
the Chardon Rubber Company
in Chardon and the Johnson
Rubber Company in Middlefield, O.
He went through work places,
shook hands, asked
questions at the Johnson plant.
Production stopped while the Senator
addressed the entire plant personnel
in a short talk.
