Legionnaires
Hold District Spring Meet

Harold Nelson, commander of the American Legion post at Hinsdale, said about 200 Legionnaires and members of their women's Auxiliary are expected to attend the annual spring meeting of the Legion's district No. 1 there Saturday, April 4.

Nelson said there are about 1100 Legionnaires in the 18 posts in this northeastern Montana district. The posts are at Wolf Point, Glasgow, Richland, Hinsdale, Homestead, Poplar, Scobey, Outlook, Plentywood, Culbertson, Fort Peck, Bainville, Nashua, Peerless, Whitetail, Opheim, Frazer and Westby.

Francis L. Bourassa of Scobey, commander of this Legion district, will preside at the Legion business session. The Legion and its auxiliary will hold separate business sessions in the afternoon and then meet for a joint banquet that evening.

Representatives of Posts in the district will report on their community service and Americanism programs during the past year, elect new district officers, and make plans for projects for the coming year.

State officers of the American Legion will attend the meeting.
