—A special train passed through this city yesterday over the U. P., en route for Salt Lake and Ogden, having on board a notable company, consisting of Col. Thomas A. Scott, President of the U. P., and his secretary; Geo. M. Pullman, President of the Pullman Palace Car Company, and Director of the U. P., and his secretary; Sidney Dillon, Director of the U. P; T. E. Sickles, General Superintendent; S. B. H. Clark, Division Superintendent; I. H. Congdon, Master Machinist; O. F. Davis, Land Commissioner, and wife; T. L. Kimball, General Passenger agent, and wife; A. J. Poppleton, Attorney for Road, and wife; L. M. Bennett, General Superintendent of the Pullman Palace Car line, and wife. The train consisted of the Pennsylvania Railroad President's car, occupied by President Scott and others; a Pullman Palace car, occupied by G. M. Pullman and others; a Pullman baggage car, built for the hotel trains; and a commissary car. Superintendent Bennett acted as commissary, and had in store all the luxuries of the season.
