And now, to still further dispel the illusion that Texas fever is only a scare, gotten up by northwestern cattlemen to keep their ranges from being over-stocked, the stockgrowers north of the Texas Pacific in Texas have quarantined against all cattle south of the road. This is liable to lead to serious difficulty among Texans, but the fact of the quarantine goes a long way toward proving that there is such a thing as Texas fever. In any event, it more firmly establishes the positions of the many states and territories which have recently quarantined against Texas cattle.
