NIAGARA ROARED IN GOTHAM,

Experiments Prove That Today's Programme Will Be a Success.

NEW YORK, May 3.-The sullen roar of the great falls of Niagara was heard in this city tonight, when the electric current, which is to connect the thunder of the falling water with the electrical show at the Grand Central Palace, was turned on for the first time, as a test, by the managers of the show, who pronounced it a successful one. The sound of the water could be plainly heard. At the same time the power was put on and every bit of machinery of the electrical show was put in motion for a few minutes.
