Cooperation and goodwill were expressed at the dinner given by John Carbonell at the Caribe Restaurant last night at 6:30 p. m. in honor of outgoing and incoming City Commissioners.
Host Carbonell addressed the group with a toast in which he saluted the old and new members.
"We of the new commission appreciate the fine work done by the ex-commissioners and feel that they have promoted and initiated progress in the city of Key West," Carbonell said. "I'm sorry that they can't be with us for the coming work of the year, but I also feel that the newcomers will carry on the work in fine tradition."
Present at the gathering were Louis Carbonell, A. Maitland Adams, Louis Eisner, Mayor C. B. Harvey, City Manager Dave King, Victor Lowe, city clerk, and new City Commissioners Dr. Dello Cobo and Jack Delaney.
Also present was Sebastian Cabrera III owner of the restaurant who received compliments from John Carbonell and his guests. Steak was the main course of the dinner.
