Foreign Trained Doctors Barred In Ten States

Montana and nine others states bar foreign-trained physicians, Senator James E. Murray has informed Osteopathic Physician Richard D. Wheaton of Helena.

Murray's letter came in reply to a request for such information by Dr. Wheaton, late in August.

The nine other states are Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont and Wyoming.

In addition, foreign-trained doctors are not accredited in the Canal Zone or in Puerto Rico. They are permitted to practice in Guam, Hawaii and the Virgin Islands.
