Steamboats in California.—A letter from San Francisco, in the New York Courier, says:—

The number of steamboats now running on the Sacramento and its tributaries, is 16, amounting to 3,828 tons; on the San Joaquin, 9, amounting to 775 tons; on the Bay only 7, amounting to 295 tons. Number laid up, 1,776 tons; broken up, burnt, &c., 11, amounting to 482 tons. Total number built in California 52, amounting to 3,391 tons. Total number built and arrived, to run on the rivers, 67, amounting to 8,177 tons.
