HEAVY FINE FOR ANTWERP

Ask Million Francs for Treatment Accorded Propagandists.

Amsterdam, July 29.—Antwerp has been fined a million francs and Jan Devos, the burgomaster, has been deposed by the Germans because of recent happenings in the city, says the Belgique Dagblad. Revisionists celebrating the 11th day of July were beaten and a number of Activist prisoners of war from Goettingen were half killed by inhabitants for carrying on anti-Belgian propaganda in the city.

Doctors refused to attend the men, whom they called "traitors," and were consequently deported to Germany.
