Seven-Year-Old Is Ordained Preacher

Peoria, Ill., July 28-(P) -The Rev. Charles Jaynes, Jr., seven years old -was an ordained minister Friday, described by the Rev. G. B. Drake as the "youngest in the world." He lives in Riverside, Calif.

Some 1500 persons attended the service Thursday night in which Drake ordained the child, and then heard the young minister preach on "Hell, or God's Penitentiary."

Drake is pastor of the Trinity tabernacle, affiliated with the international ministerial federation.

Friends said the young minister, son of revivalists, can speak five languages. He is conducting meetings on a tour, accompanied by a nurse and tutor.
