East India News.—The present Rajah of Barjore has several daughters, one of whom has been solicited in marriage by some young men of Scindiah's family, but the Rajah has objected to a connection either with Scindea, Helkar, or the Berar Rajah, and consented to their alliance with members of the families of the Nizam and Peishwa. The Rajah has lately evinced a taste for Literature and the Arts, and is about to establish a college in his territories, to which the Indian Company largely contributes.
