Mrs. E. E. Castleberry is visiting Oxford and Anniston relatives for a few days.

Mrs. Florence Ingersol of Grand Junction, Col., is visiting her mother, Mrs. L. W. Henderson, in North End.

Rev. Lynn R. Walker and bride came in today and are comfortably quartered at the manse.

Mr. Elwood Ruff, one of our most promising young business men, lies critically ill at the home of Mr. R. Mines Jemison.

The farmers of this county are in good spirits over the prospects of returning good times. The crop was planted, grown and gathered on a 5 cent basis, so that there is more money among the country people and more hog and hominy than there has been since the war.

Talladega county is in first-class shape for another year. Political discussions and calamity howling is at a great discount in these parts.
