FATAL SHOOTING AFFAIR.—George Morrow, a drayman employed by Washington & Herbert, was shot and mortally wounded in the bar room at Carlin's Springs last night by Edward Javins, a farmer of Fairfax county. The parties had gone to the Springs on an excursion given by the Virginia Socials, a club of young men living in the neighborhood. The wounded man was put on the train and started for this city at once, but died before he reached here. Coroner Stouteburgh held an inquest upon the body this morning, the jury, of which Justice W. L. Penn was foreman, rendering the following verdict: "The said George Morrow came to his death unjustifiably by a shot fired from a pistol in the hands of the said Edward Javins." Javins, who came to the city last night and gave himself up to the Sheriff, was examined before Justice Samuel Beach at the jail this morning, and was released upon security in the sum of $1,000 for his appearance at the July term of the County Court to answer to the charge of shooting. Both parties were young men but had families.
