RIVERS MAY BE JOINED
WAYCROSS, Ga., June 25-(AP)--Dr. H. J. Carswell chairman of the waterways committee of the local chamber of commerce, has received the following telegram from United States Senator William J. Harris:
"The senate commerce committee of which I am a member, has approved by amendment providing for the preliminary survey of the St Marys river to the Satilla river to a point in Camden and Charlton counties where the rivers come together, also to investigate the advisability of dredging the Satilla and St. Marys river from the mouth up as far as the railroad bridge at Waycross. The rivers and harbors bill will be reported to the senate Monday and I hope voted upon before we adjourn. I am encouraged to believe I can get the senate to agree to this amendment as approved by the committee."
